LET'S PLAY TOGETHER
Ivona Jezierska—Women’s FIDE Master & Teacher
I started playing chess when I was eleven years old in my native Poland, and became a professional competitor at age fourteen. Later I played Chess for the U.S. Olympic Team in Greece in 1984 and in Dubai in 1986. I was a top contender in U.S. Women’s Chess Championships and haven’t lost my edge yet!
WHAT I DO
My mission To teach children the joy of focus, and the passion for strategy and to support parents in preparing their children to work creatively, to develop self-motivation, self-confidence and perseverance.
I teach at my home in Venice California. 1 hour or 1 1/2 hour sessions are available.
“Every Chess Master was once a beginner.”
Chess for Adults & Seniors
Family Chess Club meets every two weeks on Sundays 3:00 to 4:45 pm at my home in Venice.
Adult family members, their children and friends learn and play together.
Do you have a film with a chess scene? I offer film consulting. I also offer private and corporate chess groups and retreats. I have a book and a course being launched shortly to empower women through mastering the game of chess.
Play chess with your children, learn to play chess as a family. Bond with your kids, teach them how to think about the future. Use the theory, strategy and tactics of chess to give them a head start in life.
